The Music Biz Buzz Podcast – Episode #05 – Good To Great
I’m back and comin’ at cha with a very insightful and helpful bit of info you can put into action immediately and for your sake I hope you do. If you commit this to your daily regimen there’s no way you can fail… and that’s the point right! Success in the industry.
Of course we all know it’s really not that simple. There’s a ton of work to be done in the trenches and that’s probably the number one reason that over 95% of today’s musicians don’t find the success they dream of. Thinking that this music thing is a breeze will absolutely kill you in this business.
Plus I’ve dropped in a very cool interview I had with Sick Tricks a very cool cat hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. So be sure to check what he has to say about finding success in the independent Hip Hop world and check out some of the music tracks he shared with us.
Anyway have a listen and feed on the suggestions I’ve got lined up for you this week, hit me up with your comments and let me know how you feel and what’s good in your career.
Talk soon,
Duss.

Expand Your Musicianship… Expand Your Income!!!
Filed under: Music Marketing, Quick Tips & Useful Links
I’m always discussing ways musicians can make more money as artists or as a complete band but I’ve come to realize that I very rarely, if ever, dip into how a musician can make a living as a session player or a fill in member for other bands…
Not that I’ve ever been a session player myself, but let’s think about it for a moment. The more instruments you can play and the more styles of music that you can wrap your head (and fingers) around, the more valuable you become in the music industry. Think of it like owning your very own money printer. The jobs you can get musically involved with expand by a multiple of anywhere from say… 2 paid outings per week to as high as 10 or more….
